‘I know we took it too far,’ says rioter accused of smoking cannabis inside Capitol Hill

A Tennessee man who allegedly smoked cannabis inside the Capitol on Jan. 6 says he knows rioters “took it too far,” per Business Insider.

Security footage shows the man, who is also accused of carrying a knife during the riots, smoking what appears to be a joint while inside the Capitol Building.

Cannabis use, of course, is the least concerning aspect of what transpired that day. The man, identified as Ronald Sandlin, now faces numerous charges, including assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers, civil disorder and physical violence in the Capitol grounds or buildings.

In advance on Jan. 6, Sandlin took to social media to raise money for this trip to D.C.
